Envision how satisfying it will feel to obtain the model physique you've always imagined. As the great Dr. Norman Vincent Peale inscribed in his book, The Power Of Positive Thinking, "Our happiness depends on the habit of mind we cultivate."
Step #2: Eliminate Excuses
If you are the sort that fears action and utilizes excuses, alibis, or reasons alternatively to justify the state of being overweight, cease immediately. Eliminate the words can't and don't from your vocabulary. Refuse the urge to allow excuses to destroy your life—demand more from yourself rather than avoiding your duty to exercise. Direct your attention to set small attainable goals to lose weight, such as cutting half a pound of body fat each week. Exercising alone can be demotivating, especially when you lack the knowledge to perform exercises with proper technique. You are more likely to fail without being challenged by an accountability partner. Who would rush to begin a workout without someone appointed to standby? Who would push themselves beyond their limitations without encouragement from someone else that is present? Exercising alone is a formula for catastrophe. Seek a workout partner who is in more vigorous shape than you, or consider me, your local fitness expert, to guarantee your results.
